Water Management Systems
High Performance Materials Fulfill Demanding Requirements for Water Management Systems
Because they maintain excellent strength and toughness during exposure to hot fluids and to hot air, high performance thermoset-plastics can make durable, functional components for water management systems and other demanding applications.
1 Sanitary components
SBHPP thermoset-plastics are ideal for use in water system applications, especially as a cost-saving substitute for metals. Glass fiber-reinforced grades provide great design freedom and allow for the integration of different functions in various components, such as;
- Faucets and shower decorative parts
- Tap components (discs for tap cartridges, disc cartridge housings, internal faucet parts, concealed parts, etc.)
2 Water pumps
In components such as water pump housings, inlet & outlet covers, bushings and impellers, SBHPP thermosetting plastics allow to reduce system cost, integrate functions and improve efficiency.
3 Water meters & hot water systems
When long-term dimensional stability is a key requirement, such as for water meters, then thermoset plastics from SBHPP are the material of choice.
4 Fitting and valves
SBHPP materials are used in small to large size fitting and valve systems that transport fresh water, grey water, black water, sprinkler systems or even mild chemical media at high working pressure (up to 10 bars) and elevated temperatures.
1 Resins for abrasive applications
SBHPP provides resins within high quality standards. These resins have an excellent adhesion to textiles and increased wetting properties. Our resins formulations include additive for "Loading glazing reduction".

1 Resins for refractory applications
SBHPP resins are used as binder for manufacturing various carbon refractories. Produced within high quality standards they have increased wetting properties and high KDF.

SBHPP resins are used as coating within various industries including food packaging. Produced within high quality standards they have increased chemical resistance, improved adhesion to metal and FDA compliance.

1 Foams for building & construction applications
SBHPP phenolic resins are used for the manufacturing of foam for thermal insulation. The foam produced has closed cells which provide excellent insulation values. Phenolic foam also provides 'by nature' very high heat and fire resistance and low smoke emissions.
2 Foams for floral applications
SBHPP phenolic foam for floral application, is an 'open cell' foam which allow absorption of a high amount of water that will be retained for a long time.

1 Wood & electrical Laminates
SBHPP phenolic resins are used as binder for the manufacturing of wood and electrical laminates.
